Paul
Coddington - Syracuse University Each subject section contains a list
of links to information that is understandable and interesting to schoolkids.
There are also links to external lists of material on each subject which
more advanced students can browse for further information.
Project
GeoSim Project GeoSim is a joint research project of the Departments
of Computer Science and Geography at Virginia Tech. They are creating education
modules for introductory geography courses. These modules typically have
two parts: A tutorial program to introduce terms and concepts of the module
and a simulation program with which to carry out lab exercises.
The
Geographers Craft Fall 1995 Class Projects this is particularly interesting
as the projects are very diverse and each gives the lnks to the subject
selected by the student, e.g. from Landmines to Environmental Issues in
the Former East Bloc.
Xerox
PARC Map Viewer The Xerox PARC Map Viewer is a World-Wide Web HTTP server
that accepts requests for a World or USA map and returns an HTML document
including an image of the requested map. Each map image is created on demand
from a geographic database.

Climate Data The data here is climate data, not current weather data.
This means the data shows historical averages. It is a guide to what the
weather will be typically be like, not what it is like right now.
Pennsylvania

for teaching introductory earth science. Available Resources: Windows Versions
GeoScience:
K-12 Resources an ongoing project to see what relevant K-12 GeoScience
resources are available "out there". - this is a nice site given
that it is for G12 it is oriented to be of interest to students.
